Thanks for your interest in working for Otten Bros.

We’re a great company for people who want to find a career and not just a ‘job.’John O'Reilly

Otten Bros. was established in 1953. Our employees have been the key to our success over the past 60 years. Below, you’ll see mostly entry-level positions listed. Otten Bros. is committed to promoting from within. We hire great people and give them the skills they need to get to the next level.

Both our garden center managers and our senior buyer started as cashiers and seasonal yard help.  Most of our landscape foremen have been with us for more than 18 years, all starting on the crews. I, myself, was a seasonal cashier in the spring of 1992.  Today, I am proud to be the Vice President of Operations for this community-focused business.   We aren’t just ‘selling stuff’; we are a team of talented and knowledgeable people dedicated to solving our customer’s problems and making the yards and gardens of the Western suburbs more beautiful. We help create the spaces in which people work, live and relax!

Whether you’re on the path to be our next 15+ year employee (and we have more than 20 of them on our team!) or a professional looking for a flexible part-time position to enhance your life, we have a place for you if you’re the right person.

Otten Bros. is made up of a team of more than 100 people dedicated to working hard to serve our customers – and having fun while we’re doing it.  Our track record of long-term employees speaks for itself.  We’re a great place to call a ‘work home’! If you’re looking to punch a clock and be an anonymous staff person, we’re not the right place for you. If you’re excited to join a team and make a difference … for one spring season or for twenty years, we’d love to talk to you.

– John O’Reilly, VP Operations
