Bringing nature indoors has a calming, peaceful effect on our well-being. Join us as we become inspired by the art of bonsai. “Bon” means flat tray or shallow pot, and “sai” means plant, or planting. Bonsai represents peace and tranquility.

We’re excited to have David Weiss here to teach the class. David has served three years as President at the Minnesota Bonsai Society. He has also recently completed a three-year fundamentals program led by Bonsai professional Peter Tea. David has his own YouTube channel called Dave’s Bonsai. He is a teacher by day and thrives in class settings.

David will show you the process of creating your own Bonsai, using a Portulacaria Afra, and will discuss how to properly care for and maintain your Bonsai. You will be supplied with everything you need including the tree, pot, soil, wire, and tools.
