Bringing nature indoors has a calming, peaceful effect on our well-being. Join us as we become inspired by the art of bonsai. “Bon” means flat tray or shallow pot, and “sai” means plant, or planting. Bonsai represents peace and tranquility.

We’re excited to welcome back David Weiss to teach the workshops. David served three years as President at the Minnesota Bonsai Society and is currently the director of the club’s introduction to bonsai workshops. He has his own YouTube channel called Dave’s Bonsai. He is a teacher by day and thrives in class settings.

David will show you the process of creating your own Bonsai, using a Ficus tree, and will discuss how to properly care for and maintain your Bonsai. You will be supplied with everything you need including the tree, pot, soil, wire, and use of tools.
