Landscape Design is Sarah’s passion.  With a design approach that respects the site, integrating practical concerns and your ideas, she creates a design that delights. Be it a small urban oasis or a sprawling country property, she looks forward to creating an inspired place for you.  Installation by the experienced Otten Bros crews assures an integrated and seamless experience for you the client.

Whether it is an elaborate perennial garden planned to bloom all season, a prairie,  or a low maintenance easy to enjoy space, Sarah has the experience to help you find your best solution.

A Master of Architecture from Tulane University was her start to a wide-ranging career including teaching, lecturing, authoring a book The Simple Home: The Luxury of Enough; travel to landscapes in Europe, Japan, and Bhutan. Her volunteer activities include tutoring MPS children, and chairing a committee charged with restoring a large acreage of native plantings.

Starting her gardening knowhow as hands on in her own back yard, combined with her architectural eye, she is honored to have won an ASLA Honor Award for a garden design.
