Job Responsibilities

• Lead a crew to perform a variety of tasks including:
  • Planting
  • Paving
  • Retaining Wall Installation
  • Mulching
  • Digging
  • Fertilizing
  • Hardscaping
  • Grading
  • Drain Tile / Drainage

• Supervise and train crews during installations
• Demonstrate tasks to crewmembers
• Operate & Maintain Heavy machinery
• Complete timesheets and turn in appropriate paperwork at the end of the day
• Work collaboratively with Designers to complete job to their specifications
• Read & interpret plants, maps & project specifications
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely and on time while maintaining Otten Bros. Standards
• Communication with Clients, Designers & Management
• Independently solve problems that arise during a job
• Maintain a safe working environment & enforce safety regulations set by Otten Bros.

Minimum Requirements

• Lift 50 lbs.
• Driver’s License
• Ability to Obtain a Health Card
• Minimum Six (6) Months previous experience in one or all: Planting, Mowing, Maintenance, Hardscapes
• Knowledge of Landscaping equipment, tools & techniques
• Strong Communication Skills
• Problem Solving Skills

Preferred Requirements

• CDL
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Supervisory Experience
• Ability to drive a manual vehicle
• Experience Operating Skid Steer/Forklift etc.
• Hardscape Experience
• Plant Knowledge

Pay & Benefits

Job Responsibilities

• Landscape or maintain trees, shrubs, evergreens and perennials using a variety of hand/power tools and equipment
• Assist with a variety of tasks including:
  • Planting
  • Watering
  • Mulching
  • Digging
  • Fertilizing
  • Retaining Walls

  • Pruning

• Assist with installations under direction of the foreman
• Load / unload trucks/trailers with plants and other landscape materials
• Exercise independent judgment to perform / complete tasks
• Work with team to complete projects
• Operate Landscape equipment

Minimum Requirements

• Lift 50 lbs
• General knowledge of hand tools, power tools etc.
• 3 months experience in landscaping, construction or similar field
• Ability to follow spoken instructions

Preferred Requirements

• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Driver’s License
• Experience operating a skid steer / forklift

Pay & Benefits
